I was planning a trip for my friend's birthday, but due to work, we were looking for a place to relax for a day trip. I happened to find this ryokan, and it became a wonderful memory. The room on the second floor had the onsen on the first floor, but it was spacious and comfortable, and my friend was thrilled. In addition to the light snacks, we had welcome sweets, drinks, and a wide variety of drinks in the refrigerator. The quality of the amenities was excellent.

Personally, I was very pleased with the quality of the onsen water. Also, there was a shampoo I had discovered over 10 years ago but had not been able to find, and I was thrilled to reconnect with it.

I am amazed that it is sold at this price. I will definitely use this place again.

It was a truly luxurious time, especially for a day-use visit! The calm atmosphere throughout the building, the polite and soothing service, the clean interior, the pleasant onsen, and the delicious food were all outstanding!
The meat was of excellent quality, though a bit fatty for us in our 40s. However, there’s no doubt it was fresh and top-quality meat!

Due to our schedule, we left early in the evening, but we would love to visit again.

The service, food, bath, and room were all wonderful.
I was able to fully enjoy an extraordinary experience.

If I may be a little greedy with two points:
The food was absolutely delicious and left a lasting impression on me.
Especially the shabu-shabu and the ginger rice hitsumabushi. The dashi was superb, and I really enjoyed it.
However, the portion was large, and I regret not being able to finish it. I didn't have room for dinner after that.
Next time, I think half the portion would be more than enough.

As for the onsen temperature,
As expected of the Hakone hot spring source, it warms you up completely, and my skin became so smooth. It was amazing.
But, it was a little too hot for me.
If it were at a slightly cooler temperature, I think I could have enjoyed it even more.

But overall, it was the best experience.
I will definitely visit again.

I often wanted to enjoy a day-use onsen around Sengokuhara, and I found the service I was looking for here. My room was on the second floor, but I didn’t mind the walk to the bath on the first floor. However, I think it would be helpful to mark the keys for the room and bath in some way, so it's easier to know which key belongs to which. I’ve already made a reservation for next month! Looking forward to it.

I stayed in a room on the second floor. While I had to go down to the first floor to access the hot spring, that was actually quite fun. The food and the hot spring were both excellent.
The only downside was that the window in the room couldn't be opened. I assume it's because the view isn’t very good, but I felt like there was a lack of openness in the room.

It was a beautiful and comfortable Japanese modern ryokan where I could stay from the morning until night for a day trip to the onsen. The scent of incense was also soothing. The Sengokuhara Susuki Plateau and the wetland garden were within walking distance, making it perfect for autumn strolls. I was able to soak in the murky onsen drawn from Owakudani multiple times, and each dish of the meticulously prepared seasonal cuisine was delicious, with the shabu-shabu being especially hearty. Due to my work, I rarely get to travel overnight, so this was the perfect place to enjoy a luxurious, extraordinary experience just like an overnight stay.

I stayed here for a birthday trip, and when I mentioned it to the staff, they prepared a dessert plate, which really touched me. Even though it was a sudden request, I felt that they must have asked the head chef to prepare it, and I really appreciated their thoughtfulness.

The staff member who served us was from Nepal. She had a wonderful smile and was incredibly attentive, far exceeding what I would expect. The level of service was outstanding. The food was also exceptional, far exceeding the price, and it was incredibly delicious.

I’ve found a place I would love to return to. Thank you very much.
