We have been visiting for over 25 years, and my wife and I feel that it is currently in its best state ever.
While there was a time when things felt a bit strange, ever since joining the Kinnotake Resorts, we have been able to spend a very pleasant time thanks to the high hospitality added to the 360-plus years of history within the building.

Since the grand reopening, I have been visiting almost every year.
While the number of international staff has been increasing year by year, I am satisfied with the hospitality.
Not to mention the clean and comfortable facilities, the meals are good, but above all, the onsen is the best.
Even though it is an inn with rich history, I also like that it is not overflowing with people.
I heard that the manager changed this year, so I look forward to the future as well.

My husband and I had such an incredible stay at Matsuzakaya Honten. From the very first moment of our arrival until the minute we checked out, we felt welcomed and happy to be at Matsuzakaya Honten. The private hot spring was a real highlight, as well as the delicious meals we ate (both dinner and breakfast). Overall, our stay was relaxing, rejuvenating, and very peaceful, a memory we'll never forget from our time in Japan.

The room was noisy (outside pump and we could hear people in adjacent room). Confirmation email specified lunch was inclused when upon arrival I was told it was a mistake. Staff was nice and made a small financial gesture which could not compensate the issues mentioned above.

It was my first time staying in such a spacious room, and it was wonderful. The overall atmosphere was very nice, and the service was excellent. It had been a while since I last enjoyed an onsen with Yuno Hana, and it was very enjoyable. I would like to visit again.

This time, we stayed as a two-generation family for my grandchild’s onsen debut.
The smiles of the staff were wonderful and eased all the children’s anxieties.
Thanks to the staff’s attentiveness, the meals were very delicious, and we were able to enjoy dining comfortably with children. The meals for the children were also very tasty.
Since this was our first stay after the renovation, we were surprised by how modern the rooms had become. However, we could still relax just as before, and we were impressed that the good parts had been preserved.
We will visit again. Thank you very much for taking care of us.

We really enjoyed our time here. They had beautiful facilities. There were some areas of the Ryokan that smelled a lot like smoke, including our non-smoking room. The "private onsen" was just a a bath that only fit 1 person, but you are able to book a private, large onsen for 150 yen. We loved the food - it was amazing and we left very full! Overall, very wonderful place to stay and we will come back!

What a great stay in this ryokan. We loved every minute of it and it was one of the highlights in our 4 weeks stay in Japan. The staff was amazing en really helpfull. The private onsen was a dream and the food was amazing! I will never forget this experience.

The room was a spacious Japanese-Western style room with an indoor onsen. Although the indoor onsen is small due to its setting outside with a roof, it provides a sense of openness.
Since the temperature is adjusted manually, the water might be lukewarm when you first enter the room, so I recommend running the source water to adjust it.
The onsen is amazing. Silver accessories will change color to a reddish-brown, but the color will return, so there’s no need to worry. You can really feel the power of sulfur. It’s an onsen that soaks deep into your body.
There are about six private open-air onsen available for free. You can reserve them at the front desk, and you can use them as many times as you want. This is impressive. Also, the room extension for check-out is reasonably priced at 3,300 yen per room to extend from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM.
I will definitely stay here again next time. All the staff are bright and cheerful! I believe this shows the liveliness of the place.
