This is a very lovely ryokan. This was my second stay, and I stayed here for our wedding anniversary trip. I don’t usually stay at the same place twice, but I had such a great experience during my previous visit that I decided to return this time as well.
It was my first time staying in the renovated room, and the "Hibiki" room had a spacious bath area, with the bath in the center of the room, allowing for easy access right away, which was fantastic.
The staff maintained a perfect balance of being attentive while respecting privacy and treated us with great care.
For those who want to enjoy delicious food and a relaxing onsen while keeping sightseeing at a moderate level, I highly recommend this ryokan.

I stayed in the "Hibiki" room.

In today's world, with strong opposition to smoking, most places have completely banned smoking rooms, and it’s become quite the norm.
It's rather disappointing to have to go all the way to a designated smoking area, especially when you’re staying at an onsen resort. When smoking is banned, it somewhat takes away from the experience.

However, despite the growing number of ryokans with this smoking ban policy, Kinnotake Sengokuhara "Hibiki" offers a wonderful smoking room option.

The room is spacious, and the onsen experience is flawless. The distance from the bedroom to the onsen allows for a quick, convenient experience that you wouldn't find at other places.

Unlike general honsen inns in Yumoto or Gora, the staff here are not bothersome, and their service is impeccable, ensuring a comfortable stay.

The food has improved over the last ten years, and each dish has high quality.

Rather than wasting money at other inns, you'll ultimately be more satisfied spending your time at Kinnotake Sengokuhara. There are various rooms available, and if I could, I would love to stay here every year.

The pajama only had the top, with no pants, so it would have been nice if we had the option to choose.
The food portion was just right, but the alcohol served in the room was quite expensive. It seems to be more targeted for inbound guests.
The bar had a wide selection of alcoholic drinks.
The property was clean, but there weren't really any places to stroll around. This is more of a place to relax and enjoy the room.
