The perfect place to get away from the crowds and the noise of the big cities for a few days, I would recommend the place to anyone. The room was even better and more comfortable than expected, the design is really nice and modern, the staff very helpful in every way. The gym is nice and well-equipped. 10/10

The other day, I stayed with my daughter.
The room was spacious and clean, and being able to enjoy the open-air onsen whenever we liked made for a truly luxurious experience.
For dinner, we switched to the teppanyaki restaurant “Zen” located on the same property, where the Ishigaki beef was incredibly tender and absolutely delicious.
Breakfast was also stylish and tasty, and we were thoroughly satisfied until the very end.
The peaceful surroundings allowed us to refresh both body and mind, making it a truly wonderful stay. Thank you very much.

The staff are highly professional, the room was clean, and the atmosphere was very relaxing.
I was very satisfied overall.
If I had to mention two small things:
The rice served at both dinner and breakfast felt a little dry.
Although I cannot speak for the other rooms, I found the layout from the shower room to the open-air bath somewhat inconvenient.
That said, I still believe this is an outstanding ryokan.
I am already planning to visit again in the autumn.

We had a delightful stay at Kinnotake Tonosawa as part of our honeymoon trip to Japan. The hospitality was outstanding from the start. Our suite with the open air onsen was amazing and the most luxurious suite we have ever stayed in. The food, including both breakfast and dinner, were kaiseki style and were both exquisite and high quality. We also booked one of the couple spa treatments, which we highly recommend. During the day, we explored the hot springs at Owakudani and the Hakone ropeway, where you can get amazing views of Mt. Fuji and the surrounding areas.

Overall, it was the perfect place to wrap up our honeymoon trip and would highly recommend to anyone going for a romantic couple's trip.

After traversing all through Japan in the spring and also surviving some torrential rain, we made it to Kinnotake Tonosawa for my partners birthday. We had only spent a night but would have loved to have stayed longer and also enjoyed the rest of Hakone. The staff was beyond kind and helpful and no one batted an eye at us being a same sec couple. We loved every second. The room was beautiful, bed was beyond comfortable, the hot spring was large enough for two and the free drinks in the minibar made for a wonderful morning cocktail. We want to return on our next visit. The matching kimonos for us was a super suite addition. The only thing I might add is I am a bit larger than my partner and found the unisex kimonos to be a tad small.

The best experience I’ve ever had in terms of comfort, relaxation, and happiness. The room was amazingly designed with the private onsen and all of the necessities and much more. Would recommend it to anyone that wants to experience an entirely new thing.
