We were in Hakone for 2 days and stayed overnight here. We felt welcomed shortly after crossing the bridge and was greeted by staff before reaching the doors. Check in and check out the following day were both smooth. There was a yukata provided upon check in, I believe for girls only, out of a selection of 4 that could be worn in the duration of the stay. All 4 were beautiful. Dinner and breakfast were brilliant and filling. The room was amazing, nice comfortable beds and additional yukatas in the room. The private hot springs bath was near the shower in the patio, overlooking a nice view of nature. Along with the helpful staff and relaxing ambiance, we would definitely come back here again on our next overnight visit to Hakone.

Considering the cost of the stay, I was extremely satisfied. Although there is no large public onsen, the onsen in the room was more than adequate. The kaiseki cuisine was very delicious. At Kinnotake, you can enjoy unlimited beer, coffee, and tea at the lounge, which you can take back to your room. The service was also excellent. I have stayed at various ryokans in Hakone, and this was a place I would like to return to.

It's my favorite in Hakone. The pleasant hospitality and conversation of the staff brimming with smiles, delicious meals, and baths are healing in themselves. It's become a rule in our household to only stay at Kinnotake when in Hakone. Recently, it's unfortunate that there have been times when only hot water comes out due to the poor adjustment of hot water and water in the room. Please, I ask for fundamental improvements. It's a favorite enough to forgive with a smile for minor troubles!
