Riverside Sakura Walk—Hakone’s Miyagino
Sakura Tunnel—Hayakawa River, Miyagino in Hakone
A Serene Riverside Walk Draped in Spring Blossoms
In the peaceful town of Miyagino, just north of central Hakone, a gentle 600-meter stretch of cherry trees lines both sides of the Hayakawa River. During peak season, their soft pink petals reflect on the water’s surface, creating a poetic scene that captures the essence of spring in Japan.

By day, it's a photographer’s favorite — calm, quiet, and full of subtle beauty. By night, the cherry trees are illuminated, casting a soft glow over the riverside path and offering a romantic atmosphere that feels like a scene from a dream.

Just a short walk away, the nearby road is lined with elegant weeping cherry trees, their branches gently cascading in full bloom, creating a picturesque palette of pink. It’s the perfect place to enjoy a leisurely stroll under the blossoms, away from the crowds.
