Opened in 1914, it is known as Japan’s very first French-style garden — a symbol of refined design and harmony. Located near the terminus of the Hakone Tozan Railway, this historical park offers a peaceful escape featuring a Western-style rose garden, a serene Japanese garden, and lush greenhouses.

How to Get to Gora Park

Gora Park is conveniently located just a short walk from Gora Station, the final stop on the Hakone Tozan Railway — Japan’s oldest mountain railway.

By Train:

Take the Hakone Tozan Line from Hakone-Yumoto Station to Gora Station (about 35 minutes).

From Gora Station, it's about a 5-minute walk uphill to the park entrance.
Tip: The Hakone Tozan Line itself is a scenic ride with beautiful views, especially during the hydrangea season (June–July).

By Hakone Freepass (recommended):

If you have a Hakone Freepass, you can access the park easily via train or local buses, and also receive discounts at many attractions, including Gora Park.
