This time, I stayed at Kinnotake Sengokuhara for the first time.
I had previously stayed at Kinnotake Tonosawa, and I was impressed by how different the two locations are.
It is not a matter of which is better; both are excellent. However, Sengokuhara is particularly suitable for those who want to spend time just the two of them without interacting with the outside world.

I have experienced many onsens, and this one suited my skin very well, which was truly enjoyable.
The amenities, especially the body soap, shampoo, and body milk, were ordinary.
The meals were elegant and delicious, though perhaps not particularly distinctive.
The room created a private atmosphere for the two of us, but it was a bit too dark.
Also, the washroom and the onsen are on different floors, so moving between them might be cumbersome until you get used to it.

Overall, I had a very good experience, but due to the inn's concept, the sense of privacy and seclusion was perhaps a little too strong.

We tried the red and white wines in the room’s refrigerator, but we were disappointed. The welcome drink, which was champagne, was very delicious and satisfying.
Although we were very satisfied with the other food and drinks, drinking the red and white wines made us lose that satisfaction.
I think it would be better to either provide better quality wine in the refrigerator or not provide it at all.
This is a bit of a harsh comment, but since we were satisfied with other aspects, I wanted to share my thoughts.

I love the cloudy onsen water and have repeated visits many times.
Each dish is carefully prepared, and I always look forward to the meals.
The staff are always very polite, allowing me to fully enjoy my time.
I often want to visit BAR Bamboo, but I usually end up too full from the meals and give up.
If possible, it would be wonderful to have time to take an onsen after check-in and enjoy a cocktail at Bamboo before dinner—just a selfish wish from us.
I look forward to visiting again.

From the entrance to the corridors, guest rooms, and even the bar terrace, every spot offered a picturesque view.

The room was a maisonette type.
Meals were served in the room.
Instead of futons, there was a king-size bed, so no one came to lay out bedding.

Although it was inconvenient that the toilet was not on the same floor as the bedroom, the stay was more than satisfactory.

When using the onsen, I only sensed the presence of others nearby, but otherwise, I didn’t encounter anyone and could enjoy my time without concern for others.

It was simply wonderful. The staff’s hospitality, the meals, and the onsen were all excellent.
Because it was our anniversary, they prepared a surprise service, and my wife was very happy.
If we have the chance, we would definitely like to stay again.

I was looking forward to enjoying a drink at the lovely bar while admiring the illuminated bamboo forest surrounding the pond, but when I headed to the bar, it was closed. When I asked the staff, they said, "It’s closed today." I believe the bar is one of the main facilities of this accommodation, so if it was going to be closed, I would have appreciated being informed at check-in.

My partner and I wanted to have a quiet stay at a private ryokan and we were super happy that we chose Kinnotake Sengokuhara. The service and hospitality from the start of our stay was topnotch.

Our room was comfortable, clean and beautiful with ample amenities. We especially enjoyed the private onsen in our room and made use of it several times during our stay.

We were super impressed that we plan on inviting our friends and family to come join us the next time we plan on visiting.
