The hospitality as a "ryokan" goes without saying, and the comfort of the room is flawless. This has been my regular accommodation for nearly 20 years, and even though the staff changes each time, my special requests are always thoughtfully attended to. I truly commend this. Above all, the quality of the "onsen" is second to none. The temperature management is superb, and the wonderful quality of the onsen is fully enjoyed. This is a onsen that every Japanese person should experience at least once. I would confidently recommend this hidden gem of a hot spring ryokan to people around the world. I hope you continue to preserve and carry on Japan’s unique "onsen culture" for many years to come.

We stayed at Room Hikari, smoking room. We do not smoke and I was warried on cigarettes smell. However, it wasn't bad at all. The place is perfect on any point.

Since it was around Christmas, there was a towel art cake in the bedroom, and my child was very happy about it. However, there was a crack in the washbasin, which made me a bit concerned, so I gave it 4 stars.

This was the most perfect place to relax on our honeymoon, from the moment we checked in everything was amazing.

When we checked in, we were taken to the HIKARI room, a beautiful expansive space with a tatami, dining room, bedroom, private onsen, and a porch overlooking the bamboo. We never wanted to leave: the onsen was so peaceful.

Dinner was the most delicious Japanese coursed Kaiseki food. Everything was extremely delicious and fresh, and used local seasonal ingredients. My husband doesn’t eat pork or shellfish, and they did a wonderful job accommodating his dietary restrictions. Breakfast was incredible too — a huge assortment of small delicious dishes.

The staff at this ryokan are absolutely wonderful. The service is incredible and they really go out of their way to make sure you have a great experience. We especially enjoyed talking with the person who served us breakfast and the person who served us dinner — me and my husband are both learning Japanese, and the staff were really nice to talk to.

Overall this ryokan offers an extremely private, peaceful experience and I am so grateful we got to stay here on our honeymoon. Thank you to the staff for making our time here so wonderful!
