Summer, free stay for children for a limited time starting July 14 (Fri.) at a historical ryokan in Hakone

　(Head office: Hakone-cho, Kanagawa Prefecture; President: Kei Kubozawa; hereafter "Kinnotake"), which operates five ryokan and two restaurants in Hakone, Kanagawa Prefecture, will begin offering a stay plan with free admission for children (children under 12 years old in the same room with an adult) at the Matsuzakaya main restaurant in the Hakone Ashinoyu Hot Springs, which has been in business for over 360 years, from Friday, July 14 to Thursday, August 31. The plan is available from July 3 (Mon.). This is part of the company's efforts to promote summer travel for families.

｜Family share in summer will increase by 7% compared to 2019
　At Matsuzakaya's main store in Hakone Ashinoyu Onsen, which has been in business for 360 years, the number of overnight guests during the summer of 2022 (July 1 to August 31) increased 73% compared to the same period in 2019. Of these, family usage was on the rise, with the share of families at 15,14%, an increase of more than +7% over the 2019 share of 7,97%. Even the share of families for the entire year was 5,78% in 2019 and 11,19% in 2022, so it can be said that the number of families using Matsuzakaya Honten during the summer season is on the rise.
　This result can be attributed to the fact that we have strengthened our ryokan and its contents that can be enjoyed with children, such as private open-air baths for families, free drinks including soft drinks, playrooms for children, walking trails for children to explore Hakone's nature, and meals for children, in addition to the newly built guest rooms with open-air baths. We assume that this is the result of our efforts to enhance the contents of our inns for children to enjoy with their parents.

Conditions ：Free for children (children of elementary school age or younger in the same room with an adult) only in rooms with an open-air bath on the first floor.
