Kanagawa-based company Kinnotake (Headquarters: Hakone, Kanagawa Prefecture; President: Kei Kubosawa), which operates five ryokans and two restaurants in Hakone, is celebrating the 10th anniversary of Kinnotake Tonosawa. They have launched a new "Kobe Beef Course" at their authentic teppanyaki restaurant, "Teppanyaki Zen," on the premises of Kinnotake Tonosawa, starting from November 3rd.
Noting the high awareness of Kobe beef among inbound customers
At the teppanyaki restaurant "Zen," which opened on July 14th on the grounds of Kinnotake Tonosawa, a ryokan with guest rooms featuring open-air onsen in Hakone, they have been offering the only premium beef in Kanagawa Prefecture to their guests during dinner. According to survey results from customers who have used the restaurant, 84% have given it a perfect 10-point rating. They often receive questions about Kobe beef from inbound customers, who make up 40% of their clientele, such as "Is this meat Kobe beef?" This high awareness of Kobe beef has led them to respond to the expectations of those who want to enjoy Kobe beef by introducing a new Kobe beef course.
In the future, they plan to expand their business beyond hotel guests and aim to provide services to all visitors to Hakone by 2024 as they work towards establishing their teppanyaki restaurant business.
