The "Hanare" Annex at Matsuzakaya Honten Reopens After Extensive Renovations in September 2024

Steeped in a rich 360-year history, Matsuzakaya Honten has long been a treasured ryokan, hosting distinguished figures from the Meiji era and celebrated literary masters. Among its esteemed offerings, the "Hanare" annex has always been a standout retreat. This spacious annex, featuring two suites with deep connections to the Imperial Family, has recently undergone extensive renovations to seamlessly blend historical charm with modern comforts.

Responding to guest feedback, we've enhanced the "Hanare" experience by adding beds to the rooms and redesigning the corridors to elevate the secluded and exclusive ambiance that defines the "Hanare" name.
