Kinnotake Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Hakone, Kanagawa Prefecture, CEO: Kei Kubosawa), operating five inns and three dining establishments in Hakone, will commence services at the renewed "Kinnotake Saryo," its unique day-use exclusive facility, starting March 1st. Embracing the theme of "The Tale of the Bamboo Cutter," Kinnotake Saryo offers a day-use experience reflecting the essence of Japanese luxury. This initiative aims to provide inbound travelers in Tokyo with a choice for "day-trip sightseeing" while contributing to regional revitalization by attracting a new clientele to Hakone.

Reasons for the Renovation:
Ryokan without accommodations, Kinnotake Saryo, which could not accommodate overnight stays, opened in August 2022 on the site of our group's first ryokan facility that closed during the COVID-19. Over the course of approximately one year, guests utilizing the facility expressed desires such as wanting to escape to a quiet and unconventional space for two, facing challenges like being a couple unable to synchronize days off due to dual careers or being homemakers with dinner preparations and school-age children. The primary focus of usage was on the first-floor rooms with open-air baths. Identifying issues such as the facilities and limited space in the second-floor rooms compared to the first floor, we have undertaken this renovation to ensure our guests have a comfortable and enjoyable stay.

Renovation Details:
The total number of rooms is six, with four rooms on the second floor recently consolidated into two spacious 43㎡ rooms, featuring bedroom and dining areas. On the first floor, private open-air onsen is available. Additionally, the four rooms on the first floor are equipped with in-room open-air onsen, allowing guests to indulge in milky-white, spring-fed onsen. Meals consist of a shabu-shabu course with premium Japanese black cattle, served in the privacy of your room. Both check-in and check-out are conducted in-room, emphasizing a non-contact style that prioritizes private interactions, minimizing contact with other guests.
